CNN recently reported on electronic road signs being hacked. Even though I did not agree with the racist messages that appeared on some of the signs in the news video, some of the other signs that were shown were rather funny. During a long stressful drive to work in the morning, it might be nice to have a quick laugh.
I have no plans to hack into a road sign, but I did find the instructions on how to do it. I also found a video showing some funny messages that have been displayed in the past.

In the midst of recalls and car issues, Toyota has produced a series of funny viral videos for their Sienna. The idea behind the videos is to suggest that families can still have swagger while driving a minivan.

Tomorrow is Mother’s Day. To celebrate, I thought I would share a popular video that a frient sent to me several years ago.
Two brothers, Tucker and Brad, want to take a photo as a gift for their mom. What happens when one brother doesn’t want to cooperate? They both end up acting like brothers.

The next time you’re lost and need directions, who is the one voice that is trustworthy? Who is the one voice people will follow in fear of being choked? Darth Vader.
Fans of Star Wars with a TomTom GPS device can now have Lord Vader’s voice command them to their destination.
For those not wanting to be guided by the dark side, the voices of C-3P0, Yoda, and Han Solo will also be available this summer. More information, including samples, can be found at TomTom’s website.

Today is Easter Sunday. I found a video that was popular several years ago, so I thought I would share it. The creative concept of the video is to answer the question of what the Easter Bunny does for the remaining 364 days of the year. Some people may find the video shocking, and some people may think it is funny.

This past Friday night on “Late Night With Jimmy Fallon,” eight audience members were divided into two groups to write and perform a song as a band. Meeting for the first time, the impromptu bands were given about twenty minutes to prepare. Oddly enough, the two songs that were created actually did not sound too bad. The first song, called “Amnesia,” could become an Internet sensation similar to “Pants On The Ground.” The second song, called “Doin’ It Late Night,” was a combination of comedy and a nice hook.

Since today is Valentine’s Day, I thought I would share something creative I recently saw about weddings.
I have no idea who Jeff and Erin are, but this couple made an outstanding “movie trailer” to share as a “save the date” reminder for their friends and family. This video sets the bar high for any video version of a wedding invitation reminder.
Since Jeff and Erin’s video was so impressive, I searched YouTube to see if I could find any other “save the date” videos. Even though nothing compared to Jeff and Erin, I did come across several videos that were enjoyable to watch.
I also have no idea who Ben and Becca are, but they made a short video several years ago to announce their wedding; their invitation made me laugh, so I decided to share it.
Robert and Lindsay, another couple I found on YouTube, created two movie trailer wedding invitation videos.
Finally, Cory and Stephanie hired a professional film studio based in Canada to create their wedding invitation video. The production value is obviously high, but it seems to lack something special the others have.
Happy Valentine’s Day.

One of the best parts of the Super Bowl is watching the commercials. With the high cost to air a commercial during the big game, most advertisers want to make a commercial that will make an impact and be remembered.
For me, the best commercial this year was by CBS for their “Late Show With David Letterman” promo. The surprise twist at the end with Jay Leno sitting on the same couch as David Letterman and Oprah Winfrey made me laugh out loud, especially knowing about the bitter feud between the two hosts. I read a very interesting article about “The Late Show” commercial was secretly filmed, and discusses how David Letterman also wanted Conan O’Brien to appear in the ad.
Some of my other favorite commercials this year were by Kia (with the toys partying to a catchy song by The Heavy), Hyundai (with the un-retired Brett Farve winning MVP in ten years), and E*TRADE (the baby talking to his girlfriend as she questions what he has been up to).
I have to give an honorable mention to FLO TV for their commercial that included many historical television clips set to Will.i.am’s remix of “My Generation” by The Who.

Tomorrow is the day of the Super Bowl. It has been a long time since I have been this excited to watch the big game.
To prepare for the big event, I thought I would share a funny video. Several months ago, Chad Ocho Cinco was on “Late Night With Jimmy Fallon.” Jimmy Fallon took the opportunity to show the outspoken wide receiver from the Cincinnati Bengals several end zone celebrations he invented.

What happens if you wear oversized pants without a belt? Your pants will fall down.
General Larry Platt wrote a song about the popular trend. Even though Platt was too old to compete in the singing contest, the 62 year old musician was allowed to appear on “American Idol” this season to sing “Pants On The Ground.” Instantly, the song about looking like a fool became a hit.
“Pants On The Ground” has been remixed by several different artists and uploaded to YouTube. Jimmy Fallon performed the song as Neil Young. Jimmy Fallon performed the song with American Idol judge Randy Jackson. After defeating the Dallas Cowboys in the playoffs, Brett Farve celebrated with a “Pants On The Ground” chant. Who’s next?
