After Nine Inch Nails played their final concert last year, Trent Reznor started a new project with his new wife Mariqueen Maandig. The two have formed a group called How To Destroy Angels, which is supposed to feature Mariqueen on vocals. With the exception of a short video clip, very little information has been released about the new group.

Last night were the performances for Shania Twain week. Country music typically seems to be difficult for most contestants each year, but Season 9 seemed to be different. Lee was able to turn “You’re Still The One” into a song that could be played on pop/hit radio stations; in a strange way, his version slightly reminded me of a ballad by Papa Roach or Buck Cherry. Next to Lee, I felt Aaron had the second best performance. Siobhan, Casey, and Michael also did a pretty good job this week. Even though Crystal always seems to give a great performance, last night was not her night to shine.

As many fans know, Nine Inch Nails played their final concert on September 10, 2009. Fortunately, the entire final performance will soon be available to all of the group’s fans for free.
The concert was filmed in high definition by over 26 fans from around the world, and then the footage was edited together and mixed in 5.1 surround sound. The finished product, called “After All Is Said And Done,” was created entirely by Nine Inch Nails fans spending their own time and money.
A Tiny Little Dot will be offering their video project as a free Internet download, keeping in tradition with previous music releases from Nine Inch Nails. “After All Is Said And Done” can also be pre-ordered in DVD and Blu-Ray formats from their website; the DVD and Blu-Ray versions will be limited to a one-time pressing and sold at a not-for-profit price (currently estimated at $10 each).
As a huge fan, I already submitted my pre-order for both DVD and Blu-Ray versions. More information about the video and production team can be found at A Tiny Little Dot’s website.

Last night were the performances for Idol Gives Back week, in which all of the contestants sang inspirational songs.
Crystal, singing “People Get Ready,” was the first time she performed on the stage without an instrument; it was an emotional performance in which she broke down in tears at the end. My second favorite performance was Lee singing an inspirational version of “The Boxer” while playing the acoustic guitar.
With the season half over, I currently feel Crystal and Lee could end up in the finals based on their performances so far this season.

Last night were the performances for Elvis week. With Michael Lynche being saved by the judges last week, the same nine contestants performed last night; two contestants will go home after tonight’s results show.
I thought Tim Urban sang a beautiful acoustic version of “Can’t Help Falling In Love.” My other favorite performance was when Lee DeWyze sang “A Little Less Conversation,” a song that was resurrected and remixed into a dance hit several years ago; Lee made the song sound modern and current.

Last night were the performances for The Beatles week. Even though Crystal had a cold, it was not noticable when she put on another great performance; she sang the classic “Come Together,” which was accompanied by a didgeridoo. Even though the didgeridoo seemed like an odd choice, it worked. My other favorite performance from last night was when Casey sang “Jealous Guy.”

Today is Easter Sunday. I found a video that was popular several years ago, so I thought I would share it. The creative concept of the video is to answer the question of what the Easter Bunny does for the remaining 364 days of the year. Some people may find the video shocking, and some people may think it is funny.
